ST. GEORGE, Utah — A mother and former porn star was arrested after police say she drove her daughter to school while drunk.
Jessica "Asia" Steinhauser, otherwise known as Asia Lemmon or Asia Carrera, was was found sleeping on a couch in the Washington County School District office Thursday and St. George Police officers were called, according to a probable cause statement.
When police arrived, they met with Steinhauser, the officer reported in the statement.
While talking he smelled alcohol on her breath.
Steinhauser told the officer she had brought her daughter to the office for testing. She then tried to leave, at which time she was stopped and police conducted a field sobriety test, according to the statement.
She failed the tests, according to the statement. She blew a .254 percent blood alcohol level on the breathalyzer.
The legal limit in Utah is .08 percent.
Steinhauser was charged with driving under the influence with a child and was booked into Purgatory Correctional Facility on $10,000 bail.
The Spectrum & Daily News reported on the ex-porn star Nov. 18 as the only member of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster in Utah to be photographed for her drivers license wearing a colander on her head.
"The colander, official headgear for the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, is used to represent the person's belief in the church — a satirical religious movement promoting a lighthearted view of religion," the article read.
Steinhauser said at the time she wanted to make a statement by wearing the colander for the photo and met with a small amount of opposition at the Department of Motor Vehicles in Hurricane.
Steinhauser was released on bail, with a promise to appear for arraignment March 12 at the 5th District Courthouse.
