And while the film didn't win Best Picture, it was a solid hit, taking in 100 million dollars. If you missed it in the theaters, today's the day to get caught up on what the buzz was all about. The movie comes to DVD today. The story of the rise of a female trio from Detroit to the big time also stars Jamie Foxx and Beyonce Knowles. For those who did see the movie, there's more to see with the DVD release than just a chance to watch the movie in a setting that doesn't have sticky floors and candy stuck under the seats. The DVD version has 12 extended and alternate scenes, in addition to a Beyonce video. There is also a two disc version that includes a feature length behind the scenes documentary, as well as cast auditions and screen tests.
