GREENSBORO, NC -- Snow, sleet, and rain hit the Piedmont hard and fast on Monday. As much as 5 inches of snow fell in the Northern Piedmont, with generally 2-3 inches for most of the area. Now that the snow is done, black ice is the concern.
Overnight, temperatures will drop just below freezing into the low 30s and upper 20s. That could be enough to freeze any lingering moisture on area roadways. Be careful and allow extra time Tuesday morning to get where you need to go.
