U.S., NC flags at half-staff in honor of National Peace Officers Memorial Day

May 15 honors men and women of law enforcement who lost their lives or were hurt in the line of duty.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Governor Roy Cooper has ordered all U.S. and NC flags at state facilities to be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Wednesday, May 15, as a mark of respect for National Peace Officers Memorial Day.

Each year on May 15, this special day recognizes the many men and women of law enforcement who lost their lives or were injured in the line of duty.
