Former President Trump embraces rally attendee who required medical help in Asheboro

Trump was a little over an hour into his speech when the crowd shouted for a medic.

ASHEBORO, N.C. — Former President Donald Trump went into the crowd to embrace a rally attendee who required medical assistance in Asheboro.

Trump was a little over an hour into his speech when a few sharp whistles pierced the air.

The former president stopped speaking and people in the crowd shouted for a medic.

"A doctor please," Trump said into the microphone.

Those in the crowd point in the direction of the person in need of assistance. A few people nearest the person gathered to try and help them up. Trump commented on the heat.

The medic climbed up the stairs to reach the affected attendee. A man nearby and the medic team helped the attendee down the steps.

As they walked, the crowd used their signs to fan the attendee.

Cheers erupted as Trump made his way down from the podium and into the stands, flanked on all sides by the Secret Service.

Trump shook hands and exchanged a few words with the rally-goer before briefly hugging them.

A cacophony of shouts saying "We love Trump" filled the air as the former president walked back to the podium.

He thanked the medical professional who stepped in before returning to his speech.

This is Trump's first outdoor rally since the assassination attempt that occurred in July. He spoke surrounded by panes of bulletproof glass that formed a protective wall across the stage.
