NCDMV services operating as normal again following CrowdStrike outage

The department said it will contact customers to reschedule appointments.
The typical turnaround time is two weeks. It's now 6-7.

ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — UPDATE: Just after 2 p.m. Friday, the NC DMV said its offices were back up and running. Here's a statement from the state DMV: 

"All NCDMV Driver License offices are now fully operational and have resumed services following today's CrowdStrike global outage. Many License Plate Agencies though closed earlier today for the remainder of the day. Online services have also resumed at MyNCDMV.gov."

The NC Division of Motor Vehicles has announced that some of their regular services have been affected by the CrowdStrike tech failure. Driver's license offices and license plate agencies have been impacted.

The NCDMV operates 115 driver's license offices throughout the state and oversees 126 license plate agencies.

MyNCDMV online services are also impacted by the outage.

A release from the department said the DMV will contact customers to reschedule appointments.
