RALEIGH, N.C. — CNN is reporting that North Carolina Republican candidate for governor Mark Robinson referred to himself as a "black NAZI" and made numerous comments that were lewd and sexual in nature on a pornography forum years ago.
Despite this, Mark Robinson announced he was staying in the race moments before the article dropped.
A litany of inflammatory comments were made on a pornography website's message board called "Nude Africa" between the years of 2008 to 2012, according to CNN. These comments predate Robinson's entry into politics.
CNN said they identified Robinson by matching biographical details and a shared email address. The comments were made under the username minisoldr, a name Robinson has used frequently online, CNN reported.
The comments directly contradict Robinson's political stances.
“If you’re a man on Friday night, and all the sudden Saturday, you feel like a woman, and you want to go in the women’s bathroom in the mall, you will be arrested, or whatever we gotta do to you,” Robinson said at a campaign rally in February 2024. “We’re going to protect our women.”
However, in the forum, CNN said Robinson was graphically recounting a memory of secretly "peeping" on women in public showers at 14 years old.
“I came to a spot that was a dead end but had two big vent covers over it! It just so happened it overlooked the showers! I sat there for about an hour and watched as several girls came in and showered,” Robinson wrote on Nude Africa.
CNN obtained numerous screenshots and quotes from Robinson's alleged username. Click here to read more.
However, in an interview with CNN on Thursday, Robinson denied making the comments. He also claimed the comments were manufactured.
In a video Robinson posted a video to X, he called the story "salacious tabloid trash."
"Let me reassure you the things that you will see in that story. Those are not the words of Mark Robinson, you know my words, you know, my character," said Robinson.
He also said he was a victim of "high-tech lynching."

Josh Stein's campaign, the NC Democratic candidate for governor, released the following statement:
“North Carolinians already know Mark Robinson is completely unfit to be Governor. Josh remains focused on winning this campaign so that together we can build a safer, stronger North Carolina for everyone.”
U.S. Senator for North Carolina, Ted Budd, released the following statement:
"The comments reported in the article are disgusting. Mark Robinson says they are not from him. He needs to prove that to the voters."
