Teen who went missing from Texas could be in North Carolina or Virginia

The 17-year-old is from the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A teenager who has been missing from home in Texas since earlier this year could be in North Carolina or Virginia.

The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) shared information Wednesday about the 17-year-old known as Sydney Seyffert, noting the teen is also identified as Martin. Seyffert was last seen leaving home in Duncanville, Texas, on January 30. Seyffert is about 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighs about 115 pounds, and has brown eyes and brown hair.

Two different photos showed Seyffert wearing ear piercings and glasses. It is not known what Seyffert was wearing at the time, nor how the teen left home and possibly traveled so far from Texas. Seyffert's hair in both photos is cut short.

NCMEC also shared a photo from Seyffert's mother, Jennifer Polansky.

"We all love you and need to hear from you, no matter the circumstances," the message reads. "Please come home."

Duncanville, Texas, is located about 12 miles southwest of Dallas and is part of the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. It's roughly 1,032 miles away from Charlotte, North Carolina.
