GREENSBORO, N.C. — A new poll released by Emerson College shows Donald Trump with a one-point lead over Kamala Harris in North Carolina.
With Election Day under a month away, both presidential candidates have been going head-to-head with campaigning efforts in hopes of flipping North Carolina either red or blue.
Trump was one point ahead of Harris in August, but Harris was leading by one point over Trump in September. Trump reclaimed his one-point lead in October.
In the race for North Carolina Governor, Josh Stein is up 16 points over Mark Robinson.
Back in September, a CNN report linked Robinson to alleged posts made on a pornography website’s message board several years ago. Multiple senior officials from Robinson’s campaign stepped down following the release of the report.
Poll respondents said the following remained important issues facing North Carolina: economy (44%), immigration (10%), and housing affordability (9%).
