Tim Walz in Asheville today in second visit to NC

The Minnesota Governor will visit the Tar Heel state for a Harris-Walz campaign rally after making a stop in Atlanta.
AP says she's tapped Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to be on the November Ballot.

Tim Walz, governor of Minnesota and Democratic vice presidential nominee, will make his way to Asheville, North Carolina on Tuesday for a campaign rally at 4:30 p.m..

The rally's announcement comes less than a week after his running-mate Vice President Kamala Harris visited both Charlotte and Greensboro for campaign rallies in one day alone.

Before he arrives in North Carolina, Walz will speak in Atlanta in his first solo visit to the state. He'll likely continue to visit battleground states like Nevada, North Carolina, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Michigan, Arizona and North Carolina until election day on Nov. 5.

Former president Donald Trump also spoke in Asheville one month ago. He was back in the state to speak at the Fraternal Order of Police in Charlotte two weeks ago.

This week, Trump will visit Wilmington to discuss his plans for the economy, according to his campaign team. His running-mate J.D. Vance will make a campaign stop in Raleigh tomorrow at 4 p.m.. Vance will face off against Walz on Oct. 1 in the first vice-presidential nominee debate of the election season.
