Here's what Gov. Tim Walz talked about at Durham campaign rally Thursday

Support for VP Kamala Harris and Gov. Tim Walz rolled into the Durham Community Center Thursday.

DURHAM, N.C. — Democratic Vice Presidential nominee and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz was in Durham Thursday with former President Bill Clinton for a campaign rally as early voting began in NC.

Other city leaders such as Mayor Pro Tempore Mark-Anthony Middleton, Sheriff Clarence Birkhead, Natalie Murdock and more.

"I am proud to cast my early vote for Vice President [Kamala] Harris and Governor Tim Walz," Sheriff Birkhead shared.

Every speaker said the same thing -- they're worried about our democracy if former President Donald Trump were to be elected. The rally's focus was on voting and casting your ballot early.

Gov. Walz focused on VP Harris' vision for a new way forward in the country as many topics like affordable housing is a big topic this election season and something mentioned during Thursday's rally as well.

Gov. Walz also talked about tax breaks saying Trump would cut taxes for the rich, while his running mate, VP Harris would cut taxes for 100 million middle class adults.

With 19 days until election day, there are many more stops in our state to be expected, urging voters to cast their ballots.
