ELON, NC -- People in the Triad are also remembering former President George HW Bush. He visited Elon University in 2001 to give a convocation speech. Now, the school is honoring that visit with a unique pop-up exhibit.
They set up the exhibit on Monday. It showcases his trip to campus, the time he spent with the campus president and his character. President Bush discussed the importance of service to others during his 30-minute address. During his visit, he stayed with now President Emeritus Leo Lambert.
