Mark Robinson and Mark H. Robinson | How to tell them apart

Here's what to know about them so you don't get confused at the polls.

NORTH CAROLINA, USA — You may have heard the name Mark Robinson floating around ahead of the North Carolina Primary. But did you know there are two?

One is Mark Robinson, and the other is Mark H. Robinson. Two people running for two different positions.

Here's a quick guide to make sure you know which one is which on Super Tuesday.

Mark Robinson

Mark Robinson's current position is Lt. Governor. He was elected for the position in 2020.

Now, he is running for North Carolina Governor.

Mark Robinson is a Republican running against Dale Folwell and Bill Graham for the Republican primary for NC Governor. 

Mark Robinson became a household name when he delivered an address to the Greensboro City Council in defense of the 2nd Amendment which went viral.

His platform includes gun rights, anti-abortion, parents' rights in education, protecting law enforcement, veteran care and election reform.

Mark H. Robinson

Mark H. Robinson is running for Lt. Governor, which is Mark Robinson's current position. 

Mark H. Robinson is a Democrat running against Ben Clark and Rachel Hunt for the Democratic Primary for Lt. Governor in North Carolina.

He has two years of experience as law enforcement with the Naval Consolidated Brig Charleston. He also has nearly 40 years of business experience with the US Navy, Sikorsky Aircraft, and being an entrepreneur. 

He worked at the Special Operations Command, the Pentagon and on the staffs of General Petraeus and General Austin as well as serving two tours in Iraq.

His platform includes increasing teacher pay, increasing education funding via the NC Education Lottery, building a "super convention center" along I-95 and managing the introduction of self-driving trucks.
