RALEIGH, N.C. — One day before Election Day, former President Donald Trump will be in the battleground state of North Carolina in an effort to secure votes in the highly-contested state.
Trump will rally voters in Raleigh at 10 a.m. WFMY News 2 crews are there awaiting the former president's arrival, and the event is already drawing large crowds.
North Carolina’s critical 16 electoral votes have made it a central focus for both Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris as they vie for every last vote in the final hours before polls open. Trump’s appearance underscores the importance of the state, where recent polls indicate a narrow margin that could go either way.
Trump has been on a campaign blitz in North Carolina since Saturday, campaigning in Gastonia, Greensboro, Kinston, and now Raleigh.
First Lady Jill Biden will also be in North Carolina on Monday to campaign for Vice President Harris. She'll be appealing to voters in Winston-Salem and then the Raleigh/Chapel Hill area.
Harris will spend the day campaigning in Pennsylvania - another highly-contested battleground state.
