GREENSBORO, N.C. — The Associated Press has declared two winners in the District 6 Congressional race: the Trump-endorsed Addison McDowell and former Congressman Mark Walker.
There are two winners because this race is likely headed to a runoff in May.
Most of McDowell's support came from the more rural parts of the district taking 35% of Davidson County. In comparison, Walker's strength came from the more urban Guilford County, with him clinching about 26% of the vote there.
But to win a runoff, they will have to appeal to voters across the whole district.
