RALEIGH, N.C. — The North Carolina Court of Appeals ruled to remove Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s name from ballots on Friday, according to a report from WNCN in Raleigh.
The ruling means no absentee ballots will go out on Friday. The order states the NC Board of Elections is "enjoined from disseminating ballots." The ballots list RFK Jr. as a presidential candidate.
The ruling comes a day after a Wake County judge denied RFK Jr.'s request to be taken off the ballot in North Carolina.
Previously, RFK Jr. announced his support for former President Donald Trump. Since then, he's been trying to get his name off the ballots in battleground states, such as North Carolina, where votes could decide the next president of the United States.
It's not known if the State Board of Elections will try to appeal this latest order in the NC Supreme Court.
