VP Kamala Harris visits Raleigh for campaign rally

Harris urged people to use their voices and vote early.

RALEIGH, N.C. — Update (5:47 p.m., Oct. 29): North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper will join Harris in Raleigh on Wednesday for her campaign event.

Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris will hold campaign events in both Raleigh and Charlotte on Wednesday and Saturday, respectively, according to her campaign.

The Raleigh event is scheduled to run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, according to the campaign. The Charlotte event, which occurs on the final day of Early Voting in North Carolina, is scheduled to run from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Harris was last in North Carolina on Oct. 13 for a campaign rally at East Carolina University in Greenville. Barack Obama campaigned for her in Charlotte this past Friday, while First Lady Jill Biden visited several cities in North Carolina the same day to rally voters for the Vice President.

Donald Trump held a campaign event in Greensboro this past Tuesday, one day after he visited Asheville, Concord and Greenville. J.D. Vance campaigned for Trump in Monroe and Raeford on Friday.

Early voting in North Carolina runs until November 2. Election Day is November 5.
