RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. — Troopers say, Darrin Bullins, 28, died in a hit-and-run in Randolph County Friday night.
The crash happened shortly after 9 p.m. on U.S. Highway 64 near Loflin Pond Road. Highway Patrol says Bullins was struck and killed while trying to cross the road near the Dollar General.
Bullins was hit by a silver car that left the scene.
Another person also hit Bullins but then returned to the scene and was charged.
A 911 call revealed a suspicious car in the parking lot of Oakland Avenue in Ashebooro that fit the description of the silver car.
A silver 2005 Chrysler 300 was found and determined to be the first car that hit Bullins.
The investigation is on-going.
