GREENSBORO, N.C. -- WFMY News 2's Tanya Rivera served as emcee Thursday night at the Interactive Resource Center's Dignity Event fundraiser.
The Dignity Event helps raise funds for the center's daily operations. For $10 a day, donors can give someone a day of resources at the IRC.
The IRC is a day facility for people struggling with homelessness. They provide showers, laundry, hair cuts, bus passes, computer lab time, community, and health help.
2WTK visited the IRC earlier this week and learned that only 44% of their funding comes from private donors.
People can also give donations such as soap, shampoo, toiletries, towels, laundry detergent, and dryer sheets.
If you would like to find out more on how to donate or get involved with the Interactive Resource Center visit their website.
