Some North Carolina institutions paid tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on social media Monday. Universities, police departments and other civic arenas gave respect to the life and legacy of Dr. King. King would have turned 90 years old this year.
The city of Greensboro held a parade downtown after a memorial breakfast Monday morning. North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper spoke at the breakfast at the Koury Convention Center.
