Miami, FL -- An award-winning Florida TV weatherman has been sentenced to five years in prison for using the Internet to set up a sexual liaison with a 14-year-old boy. The supposed teenager turned out to be a federal agent, who arrested Bill Kamal, the Emmy-winning chief meteorologist at WSVN in Fort Lauderdale. Kamal had driven 90 miles from his home in October for the meeting. He pleaded guilty to Internet enticement of a minor for sex. The judge gave Kamal five years and added lifetime probation "for the benefit and protection of society." Kamal had used a lewd screen name and e-mailed pictures of his upper body and face. He described himself as "a cool dude who works in the media and has to be very discreet."
