GRAHAM, N.C. — An Alamance county man is warning you to avoid CashPoints ATM in the Burlington and Graham areas.
Greg Coley says in the post he knows of two people who had $500 drawn from their accounts after using the ATMs.
He went on to say, "there is ring of skimmers operating in the area."
Graham Police say they have at least two reports of folks who believe their cards were skimmed, but they stopped short of saying there's a skimmer ring.
The victims say the crimes happened over the weekend after using the CashPoints on South Main Street in Graham.
People in the area say it's a popular ATM because it doesn't charge a fee to withdraw if you belong to a credit union.
Police say folks with the State Employees' Credit Union disabled the machine yesterday and didn't see anything to indicate there was a skimmer there.
Police say that doesn't mean it wasn't there before, or won't happen again.
In fact, police say they found a skimmer at the same ATM a year ago.
Police are looking into surveillance footage to see if they can spot a suspect.
State Employees' Credit Union sent us a statement saying in part, "SECU takes instances of skimming very seriously" adding they will "work closely with local and federal law enforcement agencies to identify and bring responsible parties to justice."
Graham Police say they also heard reports skimmers at CashPoints in Burlington.
