CASHIERS, N.C. — A lucky winner of Monday night's Powerball drawing won $1 million in North Carolina.
The winner bought a $2 ticket at the Ingles Markets on U.S. 64 East in Cashiers.
The $1 million prize was one of two top prizes in NC. A $2 ticket bought it Charlotte won $50,000. The ticket was purchased at the Stop & Go on South Tryon Street.
Monday night's winning numbers were 5-8-19-34-39-26. The winners have 180 days from the drawing to claim the prize. The estimated jackpot is $572 million with a cash value of $286.7 million. The next drawing will be December 20.
