ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, N.C. — An Eden woman has won a large chunk of change after purchasing a scratch-off ticket in Reidsville.
Ellen Wilson purchased the $20 ticket from the Sheetz on Freeway Drive in Reidsville and ended up winning a $100,000 prize.
Wilson claimed her prize Friday and came away with $71,506 after taxes.
According to the North Carolina Education Lottery, the ticket Wilson won on — Big Cash Payout — has already paid out two $2 million top prizes and five $100,000 prizes since debuting in July 2023.
