Asheboro brothers split Cash 5 jackpot win. Here's how much they won

Two Asheboro brothers won a large prize off a $1 Quick Pick.

RALEIGH, N.C. — A pair of brothers from Asheboro are the latest to hit it big playing the North Carolina Education Lottery's Cash 5 game.

Michael and Steven White purchased a $1 Quick Pick ticket from the Ready Mart in Seagrove recently, and their ticket matched all give numbers in Monday's Cash 5 drawing.

The White brothers won a jackpot prize of $233,442 and will split it evenly. After taxes, each brother will walk away with $83,456.

According to the North Carolina Education Lottery, Randolph County has received over $29 million from the lottery to build a new school.
