CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Charlotte man says he could barely stand up after winning a massive $1.1 million lottery jackpot

Stephen Holder bought his lucky $10 Break the Bank ticket from a convenience store on Statesville Road. When he bought the ticket, the jackpot stood at $1,115,683. Since he bought a progressive ticket, he received 100% of the progressive jackpot.

"My knees buckled," he joked. "I kept thinking, 'Is this real?'"

Holder's prize is the third-largest in the history of the Fast Play jackpot game.

"When I think about it, I still can't believe it happened," Holder said.

After paying the required state and federal taxes, Holder took home $797,716.

Fast Play features a jackpot that grows with every ticket sold until there's a winner.
