GREENSBORO, N.C. — Consider this your warning! Greensboro Police and Guilford County deputies are teaming up for a speed enforcement crackdown targeting three major highways.
Starting Monday, April 1, law enforcement will be in both marked and unmarked police vehicles, and on motorcycles. They'll be in areas along I-40 east and west, Business 85 north and south and US Highway 29 north looking for speeders. It's all part of their “Highway Crash Reduction Initiative” to reduce deadly crashes and injuries.
Greensboro police also want to remind drivers that as speeds increase, the chances of injury and property damage crashes also increases.
The initiative will end on June 28th.
