GREENSBORO, N.C. — A man is in the hospital after he was hit while walking on a road in Greensboro Wednesday.
Greensboro police said they responded to a crash involving a pedestrian at Yanceyville Street and 16th Street at 10:44 a.m.
Officers discovered that 35-year-old Richard Poteat was struck in the intersection of an unmarked crosswalk by a 2018 Buick Encore driven by 37-year-old A’Ron McCullough.
Poteat was taken to the hospital where he is in critical but stable condition, according to police.
Officers said impairment is not suspected in the crash and charges for McCullough are forthcoming.
