Two dead in Yadkinville fire, deputies confirm

YADKIN COUNTY, N.C. — Two died from a fire in Yadkinville on Thursday, Jan. 11, according to the Yadkin County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies were called for a welfare check at a residence on Friendly Road in Yadkin County.

When they arrived, deputies said they found signs of a fire within the residence. Two people were confirmed dead on the scene.

This is an ongoing investigation.
