WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Winston-Salem police found missing 18-year-old Michelle Ortiz-Arellano unharmed. Police said her ex-boyfriend, 20-year-old Martin Quiterio-Avila, broke into her home just before 1 a.m. Thursday morning and took her.
The two were found at Guilford Technical Community College (GTCC) around 3:30 a.m.
Quiterio-Avila was taken into custody. Police said charged him with first-degree burglary and second-degree kidnapping.
He is being held without bond due to the domestic violence nature of the incident. Additional charges are expected.
Quiterio-Avila is expected to appear in court Friday.
Ortiz-Arellano was reunited with her family.
