HIGH POINT, N.C. — A popular Texas-based burger chain could be coming to High Point!
Whataburger applied for a spot at NorthPointe Crossing on the corner of W Hartley Drive and N. Main Street on April 17.
The burger chain also recently had plans approved to open a location in Charlotte back in March.
As of now, there are currently no Whataburgers in North Carolina.
The closest Whataburger to the Carolinas are in our neighboring state, Tennessee, which is home to 15 Whataburger locations.
Whataburger has been a staple in Texas since it first opened its doors in 1950. In Texas alone, the chain has over 700 locations.
