Western Guilford High School endured a brief power outage Tuesday morning after a dump truck struck a utility pole near the school.
Students evacuated to Doug Henderson Stadium and other non-building venues as fire fighters inspected facilities. Power was restored after a short time. School administration called students' homes and left a voicemail.
The pole was hit near the construction site for the school's new Physical Education facility. The facility is breaking ground tomorrow morning at 10:30.
