8-inch water main break leaves businesses, multiple people without water in Greensboro

Multiple people and three businesses are without water due to a water main break on E. Friendly Ave., causing lane closures near Church St. and Davie St.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — An eight-inch water main break is causing lane closures in Greensboro on Thursday.

Twenty people and three businesses on East Friendly Avenue are without water.

Two westbound lanes are temporarily closed from Church Street to Davie Street.

Repairs are expected to be complete by 11:45 p.m. Signs and traffic cones are in place as drivers are urged to avoid the area or take an alternate route.
