Are you registered to vote? Tomorrow is the last day to do in NC

People have until 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11 to register to vote in North Carolina.

NORTH CAROLINA, USA — Time is running out to make your mark on this election.

The deadline for voter registration is Oct. 11 at 5 p.m. You can check the Board of Election website to make sure you're in the system.

To be eligible for voter registration in NC, the NCSBOE says you must be a U.S. citizen and have lived in the county where you are registering to vote for at least 30 days before Election Day. Individuals must not be serving a felony sentence, including any period of probation, parole, or post-release supervision, and be at least 18 years old or will be by the date of the election.

There are two main ways to register to vote: online or in-person at the DMV or through mail. Voters can submit an online voter registration application if they are existing NCDMV customers.

If voters are planning to register through mail, they should fill out an NC Voter Registration Application and make sure they complete all required fields. Voters must print and sign their application and mail it to their county board of elections. Mail-in applications can be used to update your name, address, and party affiliation too.
