GRAHAM, N.C.-- Several fire stations and Graham Police responded to the scene of a two-alarm fire at Graham High School.
Telecommunicators with Alamance County 911 confirm to WFMY News 2 that a call came in around 9:30 p.m. about a fire at the high school. When firefighters arrived, they called for additional backup.
A spokesperson with Graham Police told WFMY News 2's Liz Crawford that the fire started and was contained inside the auditorium. No one was inside during the time of the fire.
WFMY also learned that damage is minimal. Investigators are working on determining a cause.
The public information officer with Alamance-Burlington Schools sent this information to WFMY: GHS had a small fire in the auditorium area. Quickly contained. Mostly smoke. Minimal damage assessed by maintenance. Will not affect school operations Thursday.
