TRINITY, N.C. — A Trinity couple and their one-and-a-half-year-old baby have lost everything after a fire destroys their home on the 5400 block of Robbins County Road.
Their three dogs died in the fire while the couple and their baby were away on the night of Sunday, Feb. 18, according to the Randolph County EMS Dispatch. The call came in around 8:30 p.m.
The family is relying heavily on their faith to move forward.
“The sun is going to come up tomorrow. You’re going to put one foot in front of the other. Take it one day at a time and rely on God for guidance,” said Adam Crigger, the homeowner.
The family's home and all of their belongings were destroyed in the blaze.
Adam's wife, Jessi works at Magic Feet Dance Company. People who work there blessed the family with some key necessities.
“Magic Feet Dance Company showed up last night with a lot of bags full of stuff. That night when we got to mom's, I stepped out of the shower naked. Nothing. I didn’t have anything. That’s a weird feeling. It’s just stuff but you take it for granted until it’s not there,” said Crigger.
Crigger said the situation could've been much worse, but the couple is grateful to have one another, and their baby girl Libby Grace.
