Triad Stage building is the new home to production company, 7 Cinematics

A historic place of art and entertainment, getting a breath of new life.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — It's been nearly a year since Triad Stage closed for good. Production company 7 Cinematics is now operating out of the building. The company  captures concerts all over the world and will now be headquartered in Greensboro once again, further establishing the city's place in the world of arts and entertainment.

7 Cinematics is no stranger to working with some of the biggest names out there, from Lil Wayne to Red Hot Chili Peppers.

"We're going around the world and we're going to capture the biggest concerts on earth," 7 Cinematics CEO and Owner, Adam Paul said.

What IS new, is being based in Greensboro yet again. More specifically, working out of the Triad Stage building, editing the footage from those concerts, "the biggest part of the process is happening in Greensboro," Paul said.

A historic place of art and entertainment, getting a breath of new life. It's a story similar to Paul's. The Greensboro native previously operated the business out of places like LA and Nashville and has now found himself back in the Gate City.

"Greensboro is feisty, you know? We've got big business, we've got big stuff happening here and we like, we definitely box outside of our weight range," Paul said.

Local leaders say this type of pilgrimage back to Greensboro has a lot to do with the economic boom here," the development that has happened, which has been really intentional planning, for the last 20+ years is happening and we're starting to see it," Executive Director of Action Greensboro, Cecelia Thompson said.

Thompson said, since 2020, when a boomerang program to bring folks back to the city launched, she's already seen 70 to 80 families make their way back.

"I had a call from somebody in Missoula, Montana and someone from Maryland last week about people who know Greensboro, they grew up and so did the city and they're ready to come back," Thompson said.

Paul said he also intends to add to that growing workforce, "we want to hire local people and take them with us out into the world."

The company has 10 full-time employees and employs 30+ subcontractors. Right now the company is looking to hire local, talented subcontractors.

So what's next for Triad Stage? The company that owns the building, Pyrle Partners, LLC, plans on opening a music venue on the first floor sometime next year. 7 Cinematics is currently operational on the top floor of Triad Stage.
