GREENSBORO, NC -- Triad Goodwill opens its 22nd store, bringing low-cost merchandise and career opportunities to the Hicone Road area.
The grand opening was at 9 a.m. Friday, Dec. 8, and each customer who shops through 6 p.m. Sunday will get to enter a raffle for door prizes (including Xbox One and Beats pill speaker).
The Hicone Rd. store is a longtime coming, according to Triad Goodwill public relations specialist Gale Ketteler. She said the community and surrounding businesses are "ecstatic," as this store is the only Goodwill location in that area for miles.
"The nearest store is Reidsville or North Elm (Street in Greensboro), so this community had really been asking us to come to the area for quite a while."
Store details:
- Monday - Saturday, 9 a.m. - 8 p.m.
- Sunday, 1 p.m. - 6 p.m.
Goodwill staff accepts donations during store hours. Each donation is tax-deductible, and 85 cents of each dollar earned helps Goodwill provide employment development services for people in the community.
