GREENSBORO, N.C. — The publisher and executive editor of the local publication, Triad City Beat, was injured in a car crash.

The news publication said an 18-wheeler hit Brian Clarey, his wife and youngest child while on the highway.

"Fortunately," the publication wrote on Facebook, "He was [put] together by the same people who make zippo lighters, and as such is practically indestructible."

Clarey has been covering the Triad since 2000 in several local publications such as the News & Record, Our State, O. Henry magazine and Yes! Weekly, according to the Triad City Beat website.
