GREENSBORO, N.C.--Guilford County School district has put in place safety and security measures to prevent injury and theft at the three schools damaged by a tornado.
Hampton Elementary, Erwin Montessori, and Peeler Elementary suffered significant damage and lost power when the tornado swept through the city of Greensboro, on Sunday, April 15.
The loss of power knocked out surveillance and fire alarm systems at the schools.
The officers have been instructed not to allow anyone who is not authorized to be on the property of any of those schools.
