GREENSBORO, N.C. — Topgolf broke ground on its new Greensboro venue Wednesday.
Construction crews are working on building the entertainment site right off Guilford College Road along I-40.
The new Topgolf will be a part of a large shopping center development that is also currently under construction.
The driving range will have 72 outdoor climate-controlled hitting bays spanning two levels. Each bay will also have lounge-type furniture or high-top tables where groups can cheer, eat, and have fun.
City leaders started making moves to clear the way for the company last year, including sewer improvements.
Topgolf Greensboro is expected to employ roughly 300 people with the projected opening set for late next year.
