GREENSBORO, N.C. — Thousands are without power in Greensboro Friday morning.
According to the Duke Energy power outage map, 2,000 people are without power in the area of just south of west Friendly Avenue to the Wendover and Bridford Parkway area.
Duke Energy said the outage was caused when an object came into contact with one of their power lines.
The incident happened around 9 a.m.
Repairs are expected to be completed by 1:15 p.m.
A couple of Duke Energy customers who live in the outage area contacted WFMY News 2 Friday morning. They said this is one of many outages they've had to deal with in recent weeks.
