THOMASVILLE, N.C. — A housefire in Thomasville has displaced four people and a dog on the morning of Sunday, Aug. 18, according to the Thomasville Fire Department.
At around 10 a.m., firefighters were called to the 600 block of Fairgrove Road where they saw a two-story home on fire.
The fire was located in an upstairs bedroom and was quickly extinguished, according to firefighters.
Four people and one dog were displaced from the home, firefighters said.
Luckily, none of the humans were injured. The dog was found disoriented. Firefighters said they provided care and oxygen to the dog, who is now doing fine.
The home sustained around $100,000 in damages from the fire, smoke and water.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
