THOMASVILLE, N.C. — Thomasville police are investigating after two people were killed and another person was wounded in a shooting Monday night.
Detectives said they were called out to Hunter Street around 8:15 p.m. Officers found Mykiah Anderson, 24, of Thomasville, lying in the street with gunshot wounds. Police said a second victim, Torrian Williams, 23, of High Point, was found shot behind a duplex apartment. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said a third victim, Jaylin McLendon, 19, of High Point, was shot and taken to a nearby hospital in a private vehicle. He's been transferred to another hospital where he is in stable condition.
Detectives have charged two people in connection with the shooting, but not relating to the deaths. Severen Trique Singleton, 21 of High Point, and Jacoreyian Dreshawn McLendon, 25, of High Point, have been charged with possession of a firearm by convicted felon. Both received a $15,000 secured bond and was placed in the Davidson County Jail. McLendon has since bonded out.
Details surrounding the investigation are limited at this time, but police say a homicide investigation is underway. The State Bureau of Investigation is assisting Thomasville Police Department in the investigation.
