Thomas Built Buses Laying off 115 Production Workers in High Point

The job cuts take effect September 28, 2018.

HIGH POINT, N.C. -- Thomas Built Buses is laying off approximately 115 production workers at its manufacturing plants in High Point.

The job cuts will take effect September 28, 2018, according to a company statement.

"Following two years of increased demand and staffing to accommodate growth, we are now rightsizing to adjust to the cyclical nature of our business," the company said.

Thomas Built Buses says impacted employees will be invited to a job-fair hosted by its parent company Daimler Trucks North America.
