'There's Still A Killer on the Loose' Carolyn Tiger's Family Braces For First Mother's Day Without Her

The 26-year-old Greensboro mom was gunned down inside her car on March 5 after getting into a fender bender, police say.

GREENSBORO, N.C. — Carolyn Tiger's family is bracing for their first Mother's Day without her.

The 26-year-old Greensboro mom was gunned down in early March on South Elm Eugene Street after getting into a fender bender. Her two-year-old son was in the backseat when a man with a rifle opened fire on her car, killing her.

"He's still out there, there's still a killer on the loose," widower Kenny Christopher said.

It's been nearly three months since her brutal murder, and still no answers.

"My expectations were high, that they was going to catch the guy who did it," Christopher said. "Unfortunately it's still unsolved."

Mother's Day is coming up, and Christopher knows how hard its going to be on the three kids Tiger left behind.

"It is kind of rough for the kids right now," Christopher said.

But they have special plans. The family will be visiting her memorial that is set up at the site of the unsolved murder.

"Now since it's coming up on Mother's Day, they're starting to write cards and letters for her so we're going to bring them up to the crash site and post them up there."

The kids even wrote cards for their father, since he's had to take on the role of both mom and dad.

"They wrote me a couple extra 'Happy Mother's Day' cards, but they put dad in parenthesis," Christopher said. "That made me feel a little bit better about the situation that they have another parent loving them."
