Winston-Salem State University hosts Tabitha Brown as a part of their speaker series

The Eden native is discussing entrepreneurship as a part of the university's Slater Speaker Series.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Tabitha Brown is visiting Winston-Salem to speak as a part of  Winston-Salem State University's Slater Speaker Series Wednesday.

The event will be held at the Benton Convention Center at 7 p.m.

Brown is an Emmy award-winning actress, three-time New York Times bestselling author, multi-NAACP Image Award winner, vegan food personality, mother and wife. She is affectionately known as “America’s mom."

The university said Brown will be having a conversation centered around the topics of entrepreneurship, building a personal brand, faith and the importance of paving your own unique path to your dreams.

Winston-Salem State University’s Slater Speaker Series is facilitated in partnership with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office.
