HIGH POINT, N.C. — A Canadian work and safety glove company is bringing a new manufacturing facility to High Point. The company has plans to create over 100 jobs in the area over the next five years.

Superior Glove has leased a 45,000-square-foot warehouse at 782 Gallimore Dairy Road, according to the city of High Point.

“This is an exciting milestone for Superior Glove as we expand our operations to better meet the growing needs of our customers,” Tony Geng, President of Superior Glove, said. “High Point’s talented workforce and strategic location make it an ideal choice for our first U.S. manufacturing facility, and we’re eager to build lasting partnerships within the community.”

High Point Economic Development Director Peter Bishop called the decision an opportunity to invest back in the community.

“We’re excited that Superior Glove selected High Point and the Carolina Core for their first US manufacturing operations, further undergirding our community’s status as a premier location for advanced manufacturing companies boasting a highly skilled talent pool,” Bishop said.

Superior Glove is based in Acton, Ontario, Canada, and specializes in making work gloves and personal protective equipment for industrial, welding, contractor, and specialty markets.
