GREENSBORO, N.C. — A neighborhood in Greensboro is celebrating 100 years. To honor the milestone, the neighborhood is getting a new monument.
The Sunset Hills Centennial Monument was commissioned by Lawrence Feir, who is a former resident of the neighborhood and artist in Greensboro.
Sunset Hills Neighborhood Association and the Greensboro Parks Foundation partnered together on the project.
To celebrate the centennial, the neighborhood planted over 100 native canopy trees in Sunset Hills Park.
