SUMMERFIELD, N.C. — There are some new developments out of Summerfield.
The town took another step in tackling its staffing issue. There's now a new Parks and Rec Director.
Summerfield is in the process of rebuilding its town staff after a mass resignation. The entire town staff resigned in May because they felt as though the town council was mistreated. The town has turned to outside help and volunteers to keep the town running.
Summerfield has an intern town manager as it looks for a permanent replacement.
